For your final project, you will conduct a digital ethnography of an online community, analyze your findings using theoretical frameworks from class, and present your work in a multimedia format. You will also submit a reflection paper discussing your research process and personal learning experience.
Research and write a recommendation report that compares two or more things. Address a topic or issue of your major field of study. Your final report must be at least six pages (and no more than eight, ideally), double-spaced, and must include:
- The conventional elements of an MLA report
- Research, including primary (at least one) and secondary (at least eight different) sources
- Correct grammar, capitalization, punctuation, and style
- Headings and subheadings to separate sections of the paper, including:
- Introduction (including purpose, background, and scope)
- Body/Discussion
- Conclusion (including a clear recommendation)
- Works Cited in MLA style format and citations (again, with in-text citations of a minimum of eight different secondary sources)
- Appropriate design elements
You should include at least one visual aid in the document; however, visual aids will not replace text or count in the six pages of minimum length. (Note: References/Works Cited and Appendices also do not count for length requirements.)
Have a voice in your paper and an opinion. it should be more than just what you’ve researched. Synthesize the research into new ideas (this makes it your own).
