In this introductory session, students will explore the foundational theories of AI, beginning with Turing's concepts and insights. They'll dive into the philosophical foundations underpinning the possibility of machine intelligence, scrutinizing the Turing Test's significance as a measure for machine thinking. The class aims to equip students with a historical understanding of AI's early thoughts and set the stage for deeper explorations.
