A good peer review will have the following steps:
- An initial read through where you make any logical inconstancies (major points missing, unclear structure or unclear thesis)
- A detailed read through were the review remarks on grammar, typos, or issues with style
- A conversation (voice or text) with the author about the paper (this is the most important part!). The conversation is meant to highlight both the positives (what worked) and negatives of the paper (what needs improvement).
