Peer Review

A good peer review will have the following steps:

  1. An initial read through where you make any logical inconstancies (major points missing, unclear structure or unclear thesis)
  2. A detailed read through were the review remarks on grammar, typos, or issues with style
  3. A conversation (voice or text) with the author about the paper (this is the most important part!). The conversation is meant to highlight both the positives (what worked) and negatives of the paper (what needs improvement).

Instructions for Peer Review

๐Ÿงช
If we were in class, we'd exchange papers with two people and discuss what worked and needed polishing in your paper. The following assignment is the online version of a class lab.
Find your name on the left column.
Past a link to your paper (Box or Google Drive) that is editable by anyone
Choose two people whose papers you'll edit (try to pick someone who hasn't been picked yet, but there will be duplicates)
Edit three of your peer's papers by leaving comments or turning on "Review" mode MS Word or use Suggest Edit mode on Google docs
๐Ÿ’ฏ
You Paper will need to be marked "public" so anyone can view it
If you have questions for the author, please connect directly on MS teams (these conversations are invaluable, and I highly recommend them).
Be sure to include links to the two papers your reviewed at the end of Paper 1
